Signed up with a 6-month subscription (my mistake!). As soon as I logged in it became clear that the site is full of fake profiles. I have my suspicions about how these fake profiles get created - I'm sure you can work out what I'm thinking.
Within an hour of joining I decided to exercise my right to cancel and receive a refund. I eventually tracked down the customer service form and submitted a ticket. No response. I did it again - no response. I did this five more times, all with no response. I called my card company, repudiated the transaction and blocked any further transactions from them.
Also, using the Wayback machine I eventually tracked down a customer service phone number (they don't publish one on their current site) and spoke to a Match.com customer service rep (they're the same company as match.com) who told me he would process a refund.
Incidentally, the fact that I've raised a number of support tickets with them has allowed me to calculate that their customers have raised over 3.1 million support tickets (google the German Tank Problem to find out how I did this). I suspect I'm not alone in being unhappy with their service...
