I ordered a sofa in December 2013 I was still waiting in April 2014 finally received said sofa April 28. Not the sofa ordered then am informed sofa is actually an Argos sofa not a Schrieber/Habitat lies all lies. How is this legal, moral or right, who is helping the working class to get value/service from the large companies that just take the money and run (fob you off).


I returned the appalling sofas then attempted a refund which took another hour out of my life while the staff and manager attempted several (at least six) times but the computer said no to get my money but could not get confirmation from head office or work out how to deduct the original discount from the price (never heard of a calculator). NIGHTMARE never ever would have bought from Argos in my life, thought I was getting a trusted brand didn't know about the big lie, misrepresentation or falsehood occurring out there, they didn't even try to disguise the lie (all packaging had Argos written on it, bit of a give away really) God Help Us All.

Disgusted ex Habitat, Laura Ashley, Homebase, Schrieber, but never ever an Argos customer because I already knew they were the retailers of absolute rubbish, and have no conscience or pride in what they do or sell. SHAME On Them!!!

Homebase and Argos are the same company! There's no deception here, it's a well known fact they're the same company. More fool you if you don't like argos, why buy from homebase.

I for one, did not know that Argos and homebase were the same company and would have made the same mistake.
If I shop at homebase I would not expect to get an argos product.

Clearly it's not a "well known fact" as this consumer didn't know. Poconnor23 did not know, and I did not know. Point is it IS a shameful deception as the brand delivered was not the brand ordered and paid for.
