I'm very disappointed with the service. My order was due to turn up on a certain day so I arranged to take the day off work and wait in for it. That morning I received a call from the delivery company saying that the mirrored cabinet was missing from the delivery. Fine that happens but why didn't someone from Bathstore call me to let me know. I then had to call Bathstore myself to find out when the cabinet would be delivered. The girl whom I spoke to said she would find out and call me back. Hours passed so I called again. Spoke to the same girl and again she said she'd find out and let me know. I heard nothing by the end of the day. By this stage I was annoyed indeed. The next morning (a Saturday) I went into my local Bathstore on Baker St to find out in person if I could get an answer as to when I would receive the missing cabinet. All of the staff including the on-duty manager were sitting around chatting and laughing which appeared a little unprofessional. I asked about the cabinet and why I hadn't heard anything the previous day. The girl I had spoken to the day before was there and she said that she'd tried to call late afternoon. I said that there was no record of a missed call on my phone and if she did call then why was no voicemail message left. I didn't really get an answer to that question but the manager did say to me in her defence that it had been an unusually busy day on the Friday and perhaps she didn't have time to deal with my inquiry quickly. She then looked up her notes on the computer and told me it would be delivered the following Tuesday. Overall I am very dissatisfied with the service from this branch of Bathstore. I would have expected at the very least to get notification of the missing item from someone at the branch rather than the delivery courier. Then of course when I followed it up no-one seemed that concerned to help me which made me feel like I was bothering the staff trying to get an answer. The items I ordered are for my second investment property which I'm currently renovating. The reason I chose to order from Bathstore is because the Baker St branch is only a few streets walking distance away from where I live and I thought it would be good to be able to walk into the store if I had any questions or problems, etc. I'm afraid I've been put off by the staff there and will probably shop elsewhere next time.

I'm very sorry that you feel this way, and for the way this may have been handled. Unfortunately, we are not automatically notified by the delivery company as they will normally call the customer directly to re-arrange any delivery issues. This may be why there was a delay in chasing this issue for you, as we have to wait for our delivery company to look into items scanned in and out of their lorries. I hope this helps to explain the situation and eases your feelings that we weren't interested in rectifying this. I'm extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused, if you would prefer in future, you can also contact our customer service team. I'm glad to see that you were happy with your final product.
