We were offered a very good price for what appeared a very nice suite. The sales lady was very helpful and couldn't fault her. However, as soon as you walk out of the showroom it's just one negative experiance after another.
1)It took three delivery attempts to get the right sink that wasn't broken.
2)The shower doors leaks so i will now have to put sealant in places that will show and shuldn't be needed. I'm still awaiting their 'technical person' to call me, but I think it's just a design fault.
3) The seals provided with the toilet and slipper bath are poor quality and also leaked. The plumber had to use alternative ones.
These problems are not the fault of the fitter or plumber as I know them as experianced and reputable tradesman. The problem is that these are cheap foreign parts.
4)We returned a shower unit to get a small one which the lady in the shop said wouldn't be a problem. However, you are then read the roit act in that the packaging has to be exactly as it was with no brown tape to be used - OUR SHOWER WAS DELIVERED WITH BROWN TAPE ALL OVER IT in the first place - obviously a seconds!!!
5)We also had to pay for a new shower unit andwere told that once the warehouse had examined the product we would be refunded and that this would take about a week. THREE WEEKS LATER and with a lot of chasing we eventually got the refund. This wasn't a cheap unit and when I complained to try and get my money returned I as told that I should read the terms and conditions ..ERRRRRR!
6)I'm still awaiting a bolt so I can attach a plug to the sink and although I attended the store and was told one would be sent out- several weeks now and still waiting...
In short, with hind sight I would never use this company. It has been the worse customer service I have ever experiance in my life. Spend a little more and go elsewhere.

1. Check if your fitter has put sealent on the INSIDE of the shower enclosure 2. If he has, he has NOT followed the instructions 3. Remove sealent, then come back to your computer and admit he made a mistake. 4. If your shower is NOT sealed on the inside.. Ring up Bathstore and get them to sort it under their great 10 year warranty. Bathstore have nearly 170 stores and do not sell items with 'design faults'. Also, items need to be returned in their original packaging.. that is all. Not with 'brown tape incact' as you state. What nonsense.

Sir/madam, you have my deepest sympathy , all this hassle after spending so much money , it is true Bathstore shower frames are sealable with silicone from the outside only, but you say your door leaks, are your problems a fault of installation or product issues?, that's difficult but ask the Manager to come out and have a look or perhaps they could send out an independant fitter for their oppinion, you shouldn't have to sort this out yourself , come on Bathstore go the extra mile.
Apparently Bathstore" don't sell items with design faults", so what about loo seat hinges that bubble up if urine gets on them , surely that's a design fault, the chrome wastes in gents urinals don't bubble up so this must be a design fault as would a selling a boat that isn't water tight .
And yes they are fussy about packaging on returned goods, and they don't give refunds at branch level, goods are returned to head office for inspection first and your refund can take weeks and weeks.
Finaly Bathstore manufacture nothing , the taps are made by Crosswater in Kent, the rest is imported mainly from China,
Cheap and tacky ? I'll leave you to reach your own conclusions.

Perhaps Letsbehonest can finally tell us where this great UK bathroom shop is? The one that only sells Great British products? the one that NEVER has damaged items delivered? The one that never has faulty items supplied (Because their British) ? The one where the manager will do a site visit if anything goes wrong, be it product or install?
Come on, lets have it, were all dying to know. Where is this magical place? It must exist because you constantly use it as a yard stick to measure Bathstore by. Or am I right in thinking such a place doesn't exist? Surely not.

Wolseley an excellent company are the previous owners of Bathstore who sold Bathstore at a quarter of the previous asking price to Endless LLP, May of this year just to get rid of it, Wolesely still own PLUMB CENTRE the UK's largest plumbers merchant open to trade and public and they stock ARMITAGE SHANKS and the Armitage factory in Dudley still make Armitage products, as for being an "unhappy dismissed ex-employee with a grudge"? not at all I just feel sorry for all these dissapointed customers who find out when it's too late , glad to be of service.

Wolesley recently moved their company to an offshore tax haven in Jersey, just last year in fact. Letsbehonest, what have you to say about that? Tax dodging their way through business in the UK. But is suppose that's ok, as long as they sell Armitage Shanks? FOOLISH, UNINFORMED OPINIONS seem to be your forte.

Here is the opening line on Armitage Shanks website armatigeshanks.co.uk
'Welcome to Armitage Shanks the professionals choice for non residential washrooms and bathrooms specialising in sanitaryware and fittings to meet the rigorous demands of today's commercial installations'.
NON RESIDENTIAL? I presume you were too thick to actually go and look at their website Letsbehonest?
How can you look at this company as direct competition to Bathstore?
My advice? If you want your Bathroom to look like a schools or a pub toilet, the go for Armitage Shanks. Otherwise, go to a high street retailer and buy your bathroom from them. Once again I appeal to Letsbehonest to tell us where we can buy RETAIL British bathroom goods at a fair price? I await your response but please do your research first!
