Toilet seats don't just fall apart after 10 days. Screwed seats from Bathstore have a small screw on the underside of the seat fixing, which if you do not tighten before install, will cause the seat to wobble and break very quickly.
Time and time again in this industry I haer the words '25 years experience', in my opinion, they are the ones who think they can fit anything without reading the instructions.
With bathrooms, all items do not fit together the same way... DEFFO sounds to me like an install problem. Also I would suggest you have a look at statutory laws concerning the sale of goods in the UK, then they may have no choice but to replace.

Think about what you are saying. Honestly, do you think a company that has 170 stores all over the country, with your WC on offer for half the year, would sell a seat as bad as you describe? If that were the case I think there may be more that two people barking about it, don't you? There 215 Bathstore reviews in total on this site. That would represent about a mornings worth of customers for this company. Put it into perspective and you can see that what you are claiming is EXAGGERATED ire borne from some unrelated problem in your life. BTW I have worked for Bathstore, B&Q, and WICKS over the years, I now work for myself (check my reviews on other retailers also. I just think certain people go over the top to get their point across, and I find that unjust.

..you really are clutching at straws now ‘PutTheRecordStraight/bathstore’, this toilet is in an all female house, there is no urine on the aluminium and it is very clean anyway. Maybe if you designed and manufactured items it for purpose you wouldn’t have to ‘PutTheRecordStraight/bathstore’

Sorry to have to be the one that says this, but NON CLEANING of seats, hinges is a very common cause of seat fixings perishing. Urine is a very toxic liquid, and as such the area aroung the seat and hinges needs a regular clean. Euro Trio hinges have an alluminium cover and guess what? Alluminium does not rust or perish UNLESS urine sits on it for a prolonged period.

I have had a similar situation but it has been going on MUCH longer (4 years), I have had slightly more success with after sales and I have got though 5 sets of hinges and three new seats but the Euro Trio seat fixings perish every time. The new fittings/seats have been fitted by three different people, (who HAVE read the instructions) so I think we can rule out an installation issue. No set of hinges has lasted more than a year, a few may have been over tightened which isn't surprising when the hinges require tightening every single month. We are now planning to replace the whole toilet so we can have a proper, traditional, solid toilet seat instead of the flimsy, poorly designed, faulty bathstore rubbish that has wasted so much of our time and energy, bathstore, you should be ashamed, anyone looking to buy a bathstore toilet be warned, it WILL be a false economy!
