Cooke & Lewis Woburn Kitchen - B&Q Rooksley Milton Keynes

I won't bore you with the long saga of unreturned phoned phone calls, wasted visits, insults from B&Q's so called experts. This has wasted the past two and a half years of my life.
In a nutshell, purchased a C & L Woburn kitchen, assured 10 year gaurantee would cover any unlikely problems which might occur. This is only true until something does go wrong, and when the kitchen started delamentating after about six months I was told by "B & Q experts" it was because I created too much steam and water splashes in my kitchen, that I was abusing it by drying washing on my radiators. I was getting distraught because I felt I was banging my head against a brick wall with a 18 month old kitchen falling apart before my eyes.
Then one morning a cupboard door hinge disintegrated when I opened a cupboard and I went back to Milton Keynes B & Q store to get a replacement when a helpful member of staff ( somewhat of a rarity) asked us if there was anything he could do to help, and I poured out all the things that were going wrong with my new kitchen. He gave us a broucher and pointed out the address of the Furniture Onbudsman on the back.
We contacted them and they sent out an independant expert who did a lengthy damming report on the condition of the kitchen. He agreed that the kitchen was not fit for purpose and that in its current condition, caused by poor manufacture, it had a life expectancy of 18 months to two years.
We have since had a refund of the cost of the kitchen from B & Q .
I will have to replace all the doors but will not be getting them or anything else from B & Q ever again.

If you are going through the same please contact the onbudsman they are impartial and very helpful. Don't be put off by the B & Q staff their job is to try to stop you taking the matter further. You are entitle to justice.
