“Waterways of the Tsars”

Written on: 07/07/2014

We have just returned from a 12 night river cruise on the Volga-Baltic Waterway, travelling from Moscow to St Petersburg. We spent 3 nights in Moscow and our included excursions took us to all the best known sights from The Kremlin and Red Square, the iconic St Basil's Cathedral, the GUM store, the Cosmonaut Museum, to an evening canal boat ride seeing Moscow all lit up at night, we even took a ride on the famous Moscow Metro where the stations are an artwork themselves. Then we left Moscow and… Read Full Review

“Rhine delights, fantastic weather, what more could we...”

Written on: 06/07/2014 by ted.b (1 review written)

This was our first ever cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it.The weather was brilliant for the whole week, though the air conditioning on the ship kept us comfortable throughout. The food was excellent, and the level of service was tremendous. Every member of staff we met was courteous and good-humoured at all times, and there was a strong feeling of team spirit from the Captain and his senior team, through the rest of the staff. We frequently saw the senior officers helping to load and unload… Read Full Review

“feedback on Rhine cruise”

Written on: 05/07/2014 by SGaller (1 review written)

Very well organised tour, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff at all levels. The bed in my cabin (French balcony, Cat A) was not particularly comfortable. Although various trips were organised daily which made the tour less boring but it would be better if less cathedrals visits. A small gym with basic equipment (e.g. cross trainer/ floor mats ) would be useful… Read Full Review

“peaceful relaxing cruise ”

Written on: 05/07/2014

Duruga River cruise, Portugal This is the break for you if you want excellent service by lovely staff, a comfortable environment, great food & drink and plenty of time to relax. Watching the very pretty scenery go by, allows lots of time to read novels or listen to music. If you like port - or even if not - you will come away with vast knowledge of the product. However, there is not much to see from a cultural or urban viewpoint, although the planners have obviously tried hard to provide as… Read Full Review

“Communication Issues”

Written on: 05/07/2014 by Kendal307 (1 review written)

In 2012 our friends and ourselves booked the Viking Romantic Danube cruise for June 2013. Due to flooding in the area we were informed after phone calls to your office during the week that the cruise was cancelled. We promptly rebooked for June 2014, only to be told a couple of days later that the cruise was going ahead with what your member of staff called slight deviations to the itinerary - communication problems between staff? A few telephone calls later after staff communicating with… Read Full Review

“Viking Torgil on the river Douro in Portugal”

Written on: 05/07/2014 by Puritz (1 review written)

Lovely boat and the staff were excellent as always, with great attention to organisation detail. The river is much smaller and quieter than in China and Russia, and the scenery is lovely, with lots of hills, vineyards and even some gorges. The river can be so narrow in places that you feel as if you could jump onto the bank. Tours were well conducted, especially in Salamanca. Meals on shore were a little primitive, and ship meals were slightly less interesting than those we had on two… Read Full Review

“A Little Gripe”

Written on: 14/03/2014 by poohkins (1 review written)

Cruise was wonderful but I would like the time for dinner to be at 7.30pm and not at 7.00. By the time we returned from an excursion it was normally about 6.00pm or just after. The meeting for the next day`s excursion was at 6.30pm which gave us ladies no time at all to shower and change and maybe wash hair. There was never any time to relax… Read Full Review
