After carrying out a balance transfer (BT) and paying 3.5% for the privilege, I was not informed on time regarding the payment due by date!
This caused the BT to revert back to its standard rate. I complained and they (as a gesture of good will) offered me 4.9%, I complained again and reminded them that I have never missed or made a late payment since opening the account 10 years ago, but they would not budge!
My account was still showing 0% on transfers to a bank account but with a 4% handling fee, so I transferred an amount then paid-off the previous balance that had "lost" its 0%, when my new statement arrived, low and behold it too had lost its 0% - their reason: the transfer was made during the month I made a late payment, what I mean by late is 3 days and not my fault either!!
I have complained again but I fear this will be in vain, so stuff your card Branson - I'm going elsewhere.
