I requested a copy of my report as i applied for a mortgage and they said they could not lend the amount i needed as i owed money elsewhere. I paid off all the money outstanding almost two months ago and yet they still show this as outstanding despite the date on each record showing it was updated twice since i signed up. I spoke to my card sullier to ask why their record was not accurate and they said that they definately updated the balance to zero and Experian were at fault. I emailed Experian to ask that this is updated and they replied that they cannot update without the company's permission even though they already have the zero balance. One of them is lying and based on other records, i think i know which one. I also did a basic adding up of all record balances in the fifteen pound a month file and the total amount in the first section of the report is higher by hundreds of pounds. Not good when it is in rounded pound values and not even pounds and pence.
To top it all, they have now marked my account with a note telling lenders to beware when taking my score as i have disputed the amount outstanding.
Sadly, they have now stopped answering my emails and all i got was a reminder that they have thirty days to respond which takes me into the next update period. What luck for them as it will probably refresh automatically and fix itself with no help from them at all.
On top of everything else, just like others, i have recieved email alerts to say something major has changed on the report on several occasions. The first one was someone accessing the information. ME. I managed to eventually view my report eight days after signing up and paying them for nothing. The second was a false trigger when absolutely nothing had changed as i had downloaded reports before and after and they were word for word identical.
I would not recommednd this service to anyone else as it is expensive, innacurate and outdated at best and will be trying noddle.co.uk as recommended in other reviews after cancelling my subscription.
