Sad to be home!

We are just back from a brilliant two week stay in La Lohuas staying in Abricot gite with our 3 year old daughter & 1 year old son, their Nanny and family friend stayed next door in Poire.
We travelled from Rosslare to Roscoff and it was an easy 2 hour drive, the directions were spot on.
The gites were perfect, very comfortable with everything that could be needed. The kids just adored their first big holiday away. Each morning, they loved feeding the chickens and the ducks, searching for eggs and petting the Guinea Pigs.
Dinan was nearby, perfect for Nanny to go shopping. The cake shop in Lanvallay is to be seen to be believed, and we saw a lot of it! Nothing seems to be too much trouble for Caroline who runs La Lohuas and she kindly visits the local bakery first thing to bring warm bread and croissants to your doorstep for breakfast. It was little things like that which really added to the stay.
We only seem to have touched the surface of all the things to see and do in the area, the nearby zoo was a particular favourite as was the canal side walk from Dinan port to historic Léhon just a few minutes’ drive away.
Most days we came back to the Gite for a swim in the pool and a play in the barn and a bounce on the trampoline.
We were all sad to come home again, but we loved it so much we have booked for next year.
