“Proclear Contact Lenses tear in your eye! My eye is...”

Written on: 19/05/2012 by EyesToSee (1 review written)

I have been wearing contact lenses all my life. Proclear contact lenses are the worst I have ever worn! I work in the legal field and in my opinion, Cooper Vision has manufactured a defective and dangerous product. Reading reviews here confirms this--it's not just me who has suffered damages from these awful contact lenses!

Other brands of contact lenses may rip or tear, but Proclear is unique in that they develop microscopic tears in the center of each lens, often after only a few days of wear. These are often invisible to the naked eye--I discovered this after experiencing pain, redness, and inflammation which prompted me to examine my lenses with magnifying devices. I was stunned to see these tiny abrasive tears, and several minute "chips" at the outer rims of several contact lenses.

My vision has deteriorated, and my contact lens prescription has changed significantly since wearing Proclear lenses. My cleaning solution has remained the same, I take excellent care of my contacts, and there is absolutely no excuse for not recalling this product.

I'm scared! We only get two eyes to last us a lifetime, and Proclear contact lenses have damaged my eyes. I'm going to research how many people have suffered the same thing. I suspect it's virtually everyone who has been prescribed the contact lenses.

same thing has happened to me but fortunately my eyes are not damaged, my optician has replaced the lenses free of charge but it would be interesting to know how many people have been affected by this.I use proclear multifocal toric lenses.

I confirm that the pro-clear contact lens are great. There are much more comfortable than other contacts lenses i have used. But there are also very tear prone. They only last a couple of days after which they develop microscopic tears. And when they do, there get much more uncomfortable than any contact lens i have ever tried.
Again they are great...until they get those microscopic tears.
