Downloadster offers a VLC download for free and it’s the full version, not a trial. Free is nice. The download didn’t take long either. A convenient thing about this VLC media player is that it will fix files that are messed up (corrupt or broken). Sometimes a video file will be downloaded, but won’t play for some reason. Humans being creatures of habit always have a favorite media player. A player becomes only a favorite when it is worthy of the title. And VLC is a definite winner. In the industry we still find many media players that can only play certain codec’s and not other. Downloadster was recommended to me by a classmate when I needed a way to edit some photographs on my PC without Photoshop. Photoshop is great and all, but super expensive as well! Luckily, Downloadster offers a photo editing software called GIMP-and best of all- it's free!
