Downloadster was recommended to me by a classmate when I needed a way to edit some photographs on my PC without Photoshop. Photoshop is great and all, but super expensive as well! Luckily, Downloadster offers a photo editing software called GIMP-and best of all- it's free! It is also completely compatible with Photoshop files, so it is extremely useful for me because I use Photoshop in school and I can continue to work on my projects at home.

As for the website itself, it couldn't be easier to use! Using their download manager was really straightforward and the installation of the software was a breeze. While on the site, I was introduced to some other products that I hadn't heard of, but I've since found pretty useful such as the Mixx DJ software and the VLC Media player which is great for watching movies on your laptop. I also noticed that they offer some software called Open Office Suite, which looks like an alternative to Microsoft Office. Personally, I already have the Microsoft version, but for those who don't, this would be a great FREE option! I highly recommend Downloadster.net!
