Went to PC World Wolverhampton to purchase Lenovo touch screen PC. Sales assistant told us there was no new ones available only the display model. Asked if this could be reduced, Manager said no, but he could offer us 50% discount on an anti virus which we did not need so we refused. Saled assistant told us there was 1 in Banbury and 1 in Rugby. We asked if it could be delivered to the Wolverhampton store to be told no they could not bring it into this store, if we wanted one of those we would have to travel to purchase it.
We then selected another PC that was shown on display, which comprised of a Lenovo tower and a Samsung 20 inch monitor. They had one of those in stock so we decided to purchase this package. When the PC was brought to the desk, the assistant scanned the barcode and said they had brought the wrong monitor down, it should have been an AOV monitor, we were shown this monitor, and it was totally different from the one that was on display. We were told we could have the Samsung monitor but we would have to pay another £30 ontop of the package price. We feel that we were given a false impression, as we were told that the model on display was what we were purchasing.
We were very dissapointed with this service and will now be looking elsewhere to purchase our new PC because we feel that we cannot trust what is on show is what you will get.
