I paid for the express delivery but the item was delivered 4 days after the purchase. I asked for a refund and they never got back to me. I had to request countless times the tracking number and when they got back to me they confused my order with another one: they replied to my email by saying "dear mr XXX". Incompetent people and rubbish, simply rubbish service. I'll never buy again from them and I definitely won't be the only one.

Was sent a battery that won't fit my laptop. Have been trying to contact them since 19th December 2018. My emails falling on deaf ears. Also never seen as many typing errors on a website. Hope the nut jobs use my money to invest in a spell check package

Battery received late and flat and will not charge up, live help a joke never on line, several messages and e mails totally ignored, deal with this company at your peril, think a trip to leicester is in order!

Avoid at all costs!!! I ordered a battery for my in-laws' old laptop from them. I specified Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded delivery (2-4 days) for £2.00. They took £6.00 for their special delivery next day service - without permission. I emailed them to complain and they ignored me. I then got this email - three days after my order! "Sorry about the delay, you that order is out of stock temporarily, due to unexpected highly demand, restock has arrived today. We are glad to inform you that your order has been processed and dispatched by Hermes Tracked. It usually takes 3 to 5 business days for the items to arrive at out customers. If you are not available when the postman attempts delivery a 'while you were out' notice will be left. You will have to go to your local delivery office to collect the parcel within seven days." So they sent it far too late, by a different service to the one I specified (and paid for), and only decided to tell me three days later - useless. I replied saying In needed it within 2 days - no reply. The battery finally arrived three days later (via Hermes). I tried to get a response from them to obtain a returns code, they ignored me completely. I raised a case with Paypal and they then immediately replied with a message that made no sense. "Thank you for contacting us and sorry about the delay, due to you that order is out of stock temporarily. 1. You can keep the battery as our apology, since it will cost much more time to return the item. We'll refund £6 GBP. It will be the most convenient and quickest way for us to solve this issue. Do you agree? 2. Would you please send the battery back to us and keep in its original packaging? We suggest not using royal mail to return the package. Because the royal mail prohibit to sending the battery. Maybe you can use the other courier such as myHermes or other courier at your convenience. We also suggest that the parcel comment is: Laptop parts, not Laptop battery, which will be more easier and successful." What - eh? Do I keep it or return it? If I keep it 'as their apology' I'm going to have to pay for it anyway? I decided to return it - it arrived too late for me to install on my in-law's laptop so I got one from another source. It was sent via Hermes signed for, was delivered to their address a week ago but STILL NO REFUND issued. As well as contacting Trading Standards, I am considering the small claims court, so with the fees for doing that they will lose double the original cost. Please, please, avoid like the plague.

Ordered battery for my Toshiba laptop. It did not work. Sent several emails asking for a return authorisation - no reply. Tried to use their "Live Chat" - never operational. There is no phone number so phone contact not possible. I have escalated through Paypal. Powerguider did not even respond through them. So I have now raised a claim through Paypal - hopefully I will get a refund from them

I am having exactly the same experience with Powerguider. They sent me a defective battery and have not responded to e-mails, their LiveChat never appears to be available.
Wish I had read reviews first. I'm usually more diligent. Very poor service, and not what it appears on it's website. Looks like I'll now have to involve my credit card provider to seek recompense. What a pain in the backside.
Have now ordered a replacement battery from Green Cell via Amazon, which arrived promptly and is working fine.

The battery I ordered arrived within days but does not work, I have sent 3 e-mails with no reply and tried live chat but no response I now want a refund and will contact PayPal and Trading Standards, I would advise anyone do not trade with this company.

Ordered a laptop battery from this company and got an e-mail to say it had been dispatched and would arrive in 3 - 5 days. Two weeks later I sent an e-mail as it had not arrived - no response - sent a second mail - no response so contacted PayPal who instructed me to start a complaints and if no response then to claim. Lo and behold - a week and a half later a battery appeared on my doorstep. No sender information and a different courier than I was initially told. The battery does charge and seems to work ok. But I am totally dissatisfied with the service and only wish that I had checked for reviews before committing myself to this purchase. The reviews here say everything!

Several emails later and no satisfaction, they insist on me paying more money to get a replacement - that is not happening and they are not listening. Battery supplied lasts no longer than 20 minutes fully charged, it is useless. Buy from these people at your own risk..

...and to think the chinese are going to building power stations in the uk. Not recommended at all - paid extra for 2 day delivery - never arrived - Perhaps need to get HMRC involved - they will find him - he probably owes them money also ( or is he is still celebrating the year of the monkey ) I guess its another typical chinese scheme

I ordered correct battery for my laptop, it was useless. Countless emails to the company, no reply, no phone no, I wrote but no reply. The address on site is incorrect. It was only after I asked PayPal to intervene that the company responded and sent me a returns label, I didn't receive an acknowledgement they had received the battery, so no refund forthcoming. This week PayPal had looked into my case and have refunded me the payment, this hassle started first week in Dec. I don't recommend this company, they are not genuine.

Bought a battery for my Toshiba laptop from them in mid Jan. Chose them because it looked like a UK site with a UK address. I now understand that the address they publish is nothing to do with them. Was disturbed to se paypal payment going to a Chinese name. Battery came after a few days so I thought it was OK. But after installing it wouldn't charge or power the laptop at all. Tried to contact them via website and email to get an RMA as instructed on the website. But no response from them. So I raised a paypal dispute. Then they sent me an email asking me to confirm my laptop model which I did. But again received no response. Paypal have been fantastic and refunded my money. But I would definitely advise anyone to avoid this company.

Powerguider are internet based only and dont have a uk address their return address is from another company nothing todo with them. Power guider have been reported to the police .... avoid powerguider at all costs...

I have tried repeatedly to contact this company about a laptop battery that I ordered. They have not contacted me and ignored all my emails and attempts to open a dialogue with them. Until I have evidence that they have any form of competent customer service this review will stand.

I bought a battery from these people and followed their instructions precisely, as regard going down to 3% then charging etc. The battery drained in MINUTES, awful, and 9, that is NINE, emails later nobody has replied. Their call/live chat never works so I am left hanging. I wish I could do more to absolutely destroy companies like this. I am mad.

Ordered a battery from this site as it said 100% customer satisfaction, no quibble refunds and 3 year guarantee. What a joke, couldnt be any more further from the truth. The item arrived a few days after the order, a promising start.....thats where it ends! I recognised it as a cheap model found widely on the web at half the price. On using the battery would not charge past 30%, even after 24 hours of being plugged in and then died within half an hour. I followed the instructions on the site, emailed and also sent a message through the site. No response, another email after a week, no response. I then threatened to report it to PayPal and trading standards and lo and behold I got a response asking me to re charge 3 times in a row to match it to my computer software..A load of rubbish. After the 3 days of wasting time I emailed again and again. Finally I called PayPal who were brilliant. I finally got my money back through PayPal after 5 weeks of messing about. This man should not be allowed to trade or use PayPal.

I bought a battery from this company a month ago, and i have only had one email from them in that month with regards to it not working. I don't even think its compatible with my laptop. These ignorant, pathetic pieces of dirt need shutting down for good!!!!!!

i WISH i'D READ THIS FIRST. They sent the wrong battery and do not respond to any messages. Live chat is a joke - no response at all.
