I bought the car insurance through compare the market, in this time of austerity, I obviously went for the cheapest. Enter AUTONET INS, very well priced indeed. I was a little worried that it was as cheap as it were, but I need my car for work and it was well within budget. I paid the deposit by card and agreed to a monthly installment plan, no problems here I thought, straight forward enough. Then came the request for a copy of my licence front and back, card and paper counterpart, plus proof of NCD, which I e-mailed, and with respect to Autonet, they acknowledged that they had received them, going good so far. Enter the credit company that Autonet use, Close Premium Finance.....They sent me my credit agreement to sign, 1 copy for me, another for them, these were both dated and signed with one copy returned on the very same day as I received them, which was the 25/04/13, today, 18/05/13, I have received a letter that they have charged me £12.00 for not returning the signed agreement. I have tried to phone Close Premium Finance (CPF), but alas, they are closed over the weekend, so this is the first problem I have to deal with first thing Monday. Let's hope that there aren't any more problem's to deal with. Technically, this is not an Autonet error, but they are the people who use CPF, and are the ones directly involved with CPF. I can see me telling them where to go with they're finance agreement if they demand the £12.00, and I'll pay the rest by cash. I don't need this hassle, and I won't stand for it.
A message for Autonet.
You are very capable of being a very good insurance company, offering what customer's need, what you don't need, is bad company's bringing you down. If CPF don't check they're mail correctly, then you are going to get problem's from other customer's, because of CPF's inability to accept what is and not trying to screw a little bit more out of us.
I'll keep you all posted
