I bought this machine for the caravan. Because of the pod system it has no wastage. Initially I struggled to get pods for it but have come across a ready supplier in Australia. they have a variety of strength of pods. Seems to heat up quickly so no delays in getting the morning brew.

When you kill the jo, you make some mo'. That's the saying, and with this coffee machine you really DO want to make some more! It makes such a rich strong cup of coffee, in fact, I'm drinking a cup from it right now!

I'm assuming 5 is the best, if not than forget the ratings as the UNO UNO ranks THE BEST in all above categories. I've owned my UNO UNO since they first arrived in Australia, can't remember when that was. The first water tank developed a leak, i rang the supplier and they sent me a new one free of charge. Mine is finally starting to give up the ghost after all these years, I'm replacing it with a new one. My daughter is moving out of home and wants one as they are so convenient. I don't worry about the pods anymore just use it for instant coffe and I buy the all rounders tea bags & squish them in. I LOVE MY UNO UNO.

Please tell me where I can buy the coffee pods as I am unable to find them in my local supermarkets. I stay in the wesern cape (northern suburbs)

I have found the coffee pods at kompleat just follow the links to the pods, they now have around 10 flavours to choose from. As far as I can tell this is the only place they are sold, great service though, the pods were delivered within 3 days!!
Hope that helps:)

I bought this s/hand to see what it's like and i'm the only one that drinks a lot of coffee and found the old method messy, very messy so at the price this was worth a try. So far it's more than proved its worth, didn't even try to asource the Uno pods just went out and bought the Lidl ones, great coffee, it can also be used with teabags for a quick cup of tea, I'll be chucking all the old filters and jugs, well, maybe not right away, give it some more use first, as some of the reviews hint at the reliability factor.
Bernie.

I, too, have discovered Kompleat. But they are very expensive and no discount available on multi buys. As they are the only supplier they should do the customers a favour. But I suppose being the only supplier they can charge whatever they want
Written on: 04/02/2013
I have stuck with Kompleat as they are the only supplier and I love the coffee (Melitta pods I think are what the machine takes). I have found that the more you buy the cheaper it is, they now have 40 pod and 200 pod packs that really make the coffee cheap.
Tea Bags work great as well!!!1

I like this easy no fuss machine. I have been unable to purchase uno uno coffee pods for the russel hobs coffee machine & am having to use other brands so that i can continue to enjoy my coffee.it is very frustrating

I'm interested - which coffee pods have you found that fit the uno machine? Love the machine - gutted we can no longer get the pods...

I am using Douwe Egberts Senseo pods at the moment. They are slightly too big but i give them a shake so the coffee is loose then squash them into the machine. Its not ideal but works fairly well.

My Russell Hobbs Coffee Maker is broken and I am looking for new. in other words I like it enough to replace not change.

Why sell a machine when you can't get the pods on the high street? Quick and easy to make the perfect cuppa but...............Pods? Also whats the deal with the website just been on to order more pods and only got a phone number and no other options! What adaptor is needed?
written by tshanx on 21/11/2006
It is very difficult to source coffee pods for the Russell Hobbs Uno coffee maker, as they don't seem to be in any of the large supermarket chains.

Considering purchasing one of these contraptions, will give this particular model a swerve. thanks

hi there

i have been looking high and low for a machine that takes pods. and have found a plethora of sites selling them and a couple even said that there are supermarkets that stock their pods. its twice the price as buying beans or ground coffee though

Between the difficulty of getting pods for the Russell Hobbs Uno Coffee Maker, and having a duff machine, I wouldn't recommend it. I'll stick with the Cafetiere.
written by soupdragon on 09/09/2005
The Russell Hobbs Uno Coffee Maker is my first coffee machine, bought after months of wondering which one to get, and if I really wanted one anyway...
The Uno is easy to set up, and produces a very hot cup of coffee very quickly (quicker than instant coffee made using a kettle). All you do is insert a coffee pod, put some cold water in the container that fits to the back of the Uno, switch on, and wait a little while, then when the Uno is ready (seconds), choose your cup size by pressing a button, and out pours your drink.
I read a lot of reviews before buying. Most of the negatives seemed to be about finding the Uno pods. I bought Senseo pods which come in a bigger range than the Uno ones anyway, and they fit easily into the Uno's holder (just make sure you push in the edges of the pod). I paid less than £1.71 for eighteen medium pods in my local Tesco supermarket.
I am totally happy with my Uno, and for less than £20 it's a great buy.

The Russell Hobbs Uno Uno Coffee Maker is an economical unit and easy to use. Don't believe other reviews about not being able to find Pods - you can use many other Pods - Senseo and Kenco (62mm) - just squash them in.
written by trudi on 22/10/2004
However found web site easypods.com that stock 55mm pods which are the correct size for the Russell Hobbs Uno Uno Coffee Maker.

Russell Hobbs Uno Uno Coffee Maker - Good machine, makes good coffee and does a large cup and it comes out hot! (Unlike the Senso Unit)
No problems with the pods, my local Sainsbury's (Eltham) stocks them.

Great machine if you want a quick cup of coffee easy to use and easy to keep clean you can sometimes obtain the pods at Comet but it is easy to order them on the internet from unounopods.com service is fast.
Written on: 19/10/2004
Pods are being more widely stocked, Sainsburys now have them. Asda and Tesco are expecting them before Xmas.

I'ts worth shopping around. I bought my Uno Uno fom Comet at £29.99 having walked past Argos/Boots simply because they were around £60-£70.
written by flynny4378 on 22/09/2004
Russell Hobbs Uno Coffee Maker - Complete waste of money as I cannot get the pods anywhere, and I refuse to buy an adaptor as I paid out for the machine so why should I have to pay out more, If you're going to market a machine which, note, is still on sal,e why would you stop stocking the coffee pods for it???? Totally fed up and I'm going to complain to Russell Hobbs becuase it just isn't on!!
Written on: 19/10/2004
The Pods are now sold at Sainsburys - £2.99 a box.

Also try Kenco Crema Range coffee pods, the right size and also give a really nice creamy layer on the top of the coffee.

Hi

www.easypods.co.uk do them so that's probably your best bet!!

Regards

It is an excellent machine, making excellent coffee. I buy my pods online http://www.unounopods.com/- 4 boxes at a time to make sure I get the free P&P, package arrives in 2/3 days - actually works out cheaper than the shops.

Pod availability varies depending on where you live. We have an in town Sainsburys and an out of town SuperStore, and another SuperStore only 11 miles away. The in town store stocks them, the other two don't. Our Tesco SuperStore doesn't stock them either, neither does Tesco Online - but my little Tesco Express does, so does the Tesco in Exeter. My local Woolworths did stock them, now they don't. Asda ran an offer for a month and haven't stocked them since.

It's best to buy online and avoid the stress
Written on: 29/01/2005
Buy the pods online, they are much cheper than in store - and you can get more varieties.

Try www.unounopods.com and www.easypods.co.uk

Have had major problems getting replacement pods for this machine.
Customer service Russell Hobbs tell me John Lewis does all 4 types of coffee pod and that Miller Brothers, Sainsbury and Woolworths stock 3 types. I live in Newcastle, which has these stores and 2/2 Sainsburys, 1/1 Woolworths, 2/2 Tesco, 2/2 Asda do not stock these.
I have been told, however, that Kenco pods are identical. I have also read that you can use round teabags with this machine.
I have yet to try Miller Brothers, but have mailed John Lewis, as I have spent too much time and petrol looking for these pods.
It is such a shame, as the coffee is excellent !!
This is the best I have tasted-with the free samples - EVER !!
There is easypod and coffeepod websites, and of course www.unounopod.com, which at present has free p+p.
Google have quite a few coffeepod companies listed. It is just a matter of searching around to suit your taste and pocket, as the price of the pods varies considerably.
I notice previous comments about Tesco getting these pods in at Xmas. We have a local superstore and they don't have them.
ENJOY.

www.easypods.co.uk - as easy as that!

Thanks very much for the advice, I will make sure I call before I have a wasted journey!!
I will also give the Kenco pods a try as you suggested!

Thanks
Written on: 24/10/2004
Its a good idea to call your Sainsburys before making the trip though - I have 3 stores near me and only one of them stocks the Uno Uno pods at the moment. They plan to have them in all stores by Xmas or so the Customer Services lady says.

I have found that, if you buy the Kenco pods and squash them into the pod holder, just making sure no part of the pod is above the rim, it works just fine with no leaks.
Written on: 21/10/2004
Oh brilliant thanks very much for letting me know, I did also find a website www.unounopods.com that does them but it's a lot less hassle getting them from Sainsbury's I tell you and you don't have to pay postage!

Thank you so much!!
written by Mart1n on 16/09/2004
Russell Hobbs - Rich Whysall's comment that you can get them from unipod.com is unhelpful, since there is no such website. You can by 44mm pods from other coffee websites, but this means fitting an adaptor to the machine. Since 44mm pods are smaller, the coffee output is weaker. I contacted the manufacturer pointing out that there website lists redundant suppliers, but they are not interested. Other points: the water reservoir for the machine is made of plastic and water left in it, eventually tastes plasticy, giving the coffe an awful taste. (Change the water for every cup)
If I were to buy again, I would buy a machine which accepts the standard sizes of pods. (I.e. NOT the Uno Uno)
