Tesco=bad quality clothes generally.
I have been buying trunks for my son there for years and they have fitted fine, the gusset is wide and they extend down the thigh, as trunks are supposed to.
I bought a pack the other day only to find the material has been reduced so much they barely cover his buttocks and he is not a big lad. They are cut like ladies short panties, high on the leg. Absolute rubbish, certainly can't wear to school as immodest for PE changing. Also noticed their boys briefs have had the material reduced and are very thin in the gusset and bottom area.The pic on the front of the pack shows longer legs that cover the buttocks but this is not the case of the product.
Shameful penny pinching, Tesco.
