“Poor on-line customer service”

I ordered from the Austin Reed website a couple of weeks ago for my husband for a party today. The advertise that goods will be delivered in 5 days. When thu didn't happen, I emailed their customer services to be told they were waiting for more stock, so they had accepted an order without having the item in stock. Beware! I waited a few days more but then as it was only a few days before the party I emailed again to say that if we didn't receive the item by yesterday, and as they had not stuck to their delivery agreement, I wanted to cancel the order. The item was then miraculously dispatched. Unfortunately, it was sent by recorded delivery and no-one was in when the parcel arrived so it was taken to a depot over 30 miles away! So not only do we not have the item in time for the party we now have to spend a lot of time and money going to pick it up!

I had a similar issue!
I ordered some suits in time for my new job. I ordered via th Internet to be delivered to the Brent Cross (BC) branch on 16 August..
Instead of the 5 days they promised I heard nothing from them until 24th July, when they stated that the item had been dispatched.
When I didn't get the expected phone call from Brent Cross telling me when that my order was ready for pick up, I called them only to be told that it still had not been received! How far away was it coming?!
A week later I called BC, still nothing, when I called customer services, they said it was on its way! Then a week ago, I received an email, stating that one of the skirts had not been available when they charged me, so they were refunding that payment - "Well, no problem, where is the rest of the order?!" I asked. On its way I was told! Guess what? I am still waiting. Austin Reed customer services is disgusting!!!
