Molly Maid - Berkhamsted; disappointing

Was initially really excited to have found these guys; offered satisfaction guarantee, vetted cleaners, full insurance. Was the most expensive company we talked to but reasoned that you get what you pay for and quality was worth it.

Sadly proved not to be the case. Cleaner ladies were all lovely, but the company was really poor. We weren't told if cleaners needed to change time/were running 2-3 hours late, we often rang in to see if they were ok and when were they coming. Key issues was office never returned calls - they blamed it on their call answering service not passing messages - but that's down to them to sort. So often we'd ring 2-3 times without reply; messages on website not returned either other than an autoreply.

Key issue was the way the company priced the clean - we were told it would take c 3-4 hours and were charged £60 - hence the top of the range pricing. However, the cleaners were always under pressure to do quicker so items got left undone. In all fairness, they offered to send them back later to finish off/re-do but ultimately seems a bit pointless if cleaners made to rush the work. Also had 2 damages during the time - company never returned phone calls again - we had to chase. They then said nothing had happened - so cost us £100+ in repairs.

Really disappointed and have cancelled contract with them due to lack of service; would recommend others to look elsewhere
