What a rip-off. Just paid £40.00 for what turned out to be a very slipshod and cursory service. We were quoted the above sum for a 1-2 hour thorough clean of my mother's flat which had been sold. We specifically asked for attention to kitchen sink, floor and surfaces, toliets and sinks and an overall hoover. My wife and I popped out for ten minutes and warned the two cleaners that we would be back soon. When we returned the cleaners had gone so we were not able to inspect the work and they hadtaken a set of keys with them. My wife had to set to with her own cleaning equipment and re-do both the kitchen sink and the kitchen floor which we felt were not accetable. The franchise holder rang us on our way home to say she had our keys and that she was outside the property. We turned round and collected the keys. I said that I was not happy with the service and that we had been forced to re-do some of the areas. I felt a financial accommodation was in order but the Molly Maid manager refused despite several requests. I said that under the circumstances I would post a review on line. She could not have cared and ebcouraged me to do so.
Not great business! A simple job poorly done and badly handled. Need I say more. Molly Maid (Hove, East Sussex) Thumbs down.

To correct the errors from Mr G. Molly Maid was not employed for a thorough clean of his mother's recently sold flat merely a hoover through and a clean of the sink and kitchen floor. A thorough clean would have cost more than £40. Mr G and his wife chose to leave the flat just as the cleaners were finishing without leaving payment and said they would return in 10 minutes. The maids waited for over 10 minutes and I tried to contact Mr and Mrs G by mobile and left them a message to contact me. As I received no response I asked the maids if there were any keys left in the property and they advised that there were, therefore to ensure that Mr and Mrs G were not locked out of the property I advised them to take them with them as their next customer was a few houses away (incidentally a customer we have had for almost five years - obviously satisfied) and I would advise Mr and Mrs G where to pick them up from or the maids would deliver them when I was contacted. However no contact was made with me and eventually I had to collect the keys from the maids as they were now moving on to another customer out of the area. I decided to check again at the property to see if anyone had returned and again there was no one at home. When I was again near the property some time later I rang and Mrs G answered, I advised her that I was round the corner from the property and that if they were back there I could collect payment. However I was advised that they were well on their way out of Brighton, however when I mentioned that I had the keys it appears they were only 3 minutes away and would return, which they did. It was at this point that Mr G seemed to have a few complaints, I advised him that if he had complaints when he returned to the property he should have contacted me as I had asked him to do and I would have returned with the maids and they would have rectified them. Mr G then became quite aggressive and threw the money in my car and threatened me with a bad review. My review of Mr G would be that he has an opinion of cleaners as being creatures that should be seen but not heard. Gilly Wise - Owner Molly Maid (Brighton & Hove)
and they waited a few minutes and I tried to contact them by mobile phone to no avail to advise we had finished.
