Clarks provide a poor older girls' school shoe selection to start with; they rarely have many sizes in stock; there is no help from the shop in finding correct size; the Clarks head office has run out of nearly all G width girls' school shoes already from the Spring new catalogue - they only offer 2 shoes in a G anyway now; plus the children's shoe fitters I've found to nearly always be poor at fitting. Go to shops selling Startrite & equivalent - they are cheaper or the same price and fitting ...

We tried to purchase a pair of school shoes and they had not got any in my daughters size so we asked if they could order a pair but they said no and gave us a customer ordering card and we looked at it and we had to pay '£3.00 extra which was annoying but clarks is the only place/brand that do children's school shoes.it was half term so they should have ordered more shoes in various different ...

The only choice we have are lace up when the heels are too high, with platform soles and heavy to wear. In most schools the rule for footwear is a 1cm sole and 2 1/2 cm heel maximum. The lowest we can find at Clarks is 3 1/2cm heels. It's about time shoe manufacturers realised that children are taller now, with bigger shoe sizes ...

I have always purchased Clarks shoes for my son, from pre-walkers to the size he is now - UK Size 1.5 and age 7 years. Why is it, the bigger the feet get, the uglier and bulkier the shoes get!!?? I was so disappointed with the last pair I purchased for my son for school. We were given 2 choices of style in his size from our local Clarks, and basically picked "the best from a bad bunch". Aside from the appearance of the shoe, after 6 weeks they looked as though they had been worn for a ...
