Watkinsqe1988's review of Daewoo Matiz 0.8 SE

“Good cheap city car, disappointingly weak on motorways.”

★★★☆☆

The Daewoo Matiz is a fun perky little car, it is a love or hate design, but I think it is a fun and cute little car. The 800cc is weak but the 1.0 manages well, but your in for a noisy ride if you're taking it out onto the motorway, Sudden losses of power burst out sometimes. Once the 1.0 Matiz couldn't get up a very slight slope foot on the floor, 1st gear, the clutch smelt horrid afterwards because of burning most likely, no problems since however this was a very tense and dangerous moment. Interior quality is average I guess and the inside is deceptively roomy, for it looks tiny from the outside. Sometime parts can be hard to get due to Daewoo's Bankrupcy, but nonetheless overall it's a good cheap city runner, despite being horridly expensive to tax.
