The Citroen Saxo Vtr was launched in 96 as the sporty kid on the block in the Saxo range and proved an astonishing hit in the UK.


For years twice as many Saxo VTRs and its stablemate VTS models were sold in Britain than any other European country - the VTR and VTS becoming joint Hot Hatch champion from 96 to 2001, taking the title for an incredible five years in a row by outselling rivals from Ford, Renault and Volkswagen.

  owned my 2001(new shape) saxo vtr for 3 months. 1300 quid for 1 with 27000 on the clock with 1 owner and a full service history. what a bargain u would think. so far I've had to replace both drive shafts and 1 wheel bearing and 1 ball joint. I've done the full service to it including timing belt and it runs sweet. 4 michelin tyres and it handles immense without lowering or a strut brace yet. i drive it up the motorway and it rattles and gets blown about by a wee gust of wind and i watch as the ...

  I have got a saxo vts on a 99 plate and its now done 78000. Ive had no problems with my car and actually in th e process in buying a new car but not managed to find one that live up to the expectations of the saxo. Great fun car to drive and very quick for a small car! Does beats many people from the lights. The only problem i had it when i first brought it, the radiater went but since then everything is good. Would reccomment these to anyone who looking for fun quick ...

  I got my saxo on the 25/5/09 its ok, its cheep to run and the drive is not that bad but it is nippy to. Not an ideal family car but there is space for 2 kids in the back and room for the pram and shopping in the boot

  At this moment in time i have not even had my Citroen saxo vtr for even a week and i cant drag myself out of it it has been highly modified and is realy fast off the light as i leave the rusted boy racers in the dust im only 17 and my insurance is only £78 on this car fire and theft

  I bought a Citroen Saxo VTR on an 02 plate and kept it for 7 years it had 8000 miles on the clock when i bought it, during this time i had no major problems with it, it handled brilliantly round corners and was quite nippy off the mark, it was silver and looked great I would recommend them to anyone. ...
