Quite Ugly One Morning is a very funny crime story with a decent plot. Never thought that I would laugh out loud at a description of someone's fingers being blown off with a shotgun.

Christopher Brookmyre's Boiling a Frog is hilarious and quick witted. I found it boring parts but overall it's a very good book.

The characters in Christopher Brookmyre's, One Fine Day in the Middle of the Night come over as extremely plausible, genuine, interesting (and quite nuts in some cases!).
