The red house looks out onto the river Dee and the chester meadows which in summer is a view not to be missed. The food is a little expensive however it's memorable and presented very nicely. The staff all look the part and are very polite. It gets busy so sometimes booking is necessary which means popping in isn't always an option. Parking is also a little difficult, it is located on Sandy Lane where people park on the road, but if that is busy you may have to drive a little distance to find somewhere. I'm a vegetarian and I find that sometimes the menu doesn't provide the largest variety for me, but my meat eating family love it. The drinks menu is expensive which is a downer if you are only going for a lunch as it adds to the bill quite dramatically however soft drinks are reasonably priced. The food is always interesting so having eaten there you won't forget the experience, and with the view taken into account, it really is an experience which if you're in the area, you shouldn't miss. Before going there I would warn that the standard clientele are very well dressed - I went once in scruffy clothing and felt very out of place.
