The first thing you do not like is how they built network marketing. In the rest they are good fellows: good prices, often make advantageous offers, hold promotions.

used to use Avon quite a lot and I have also been a rep with them twice first time I ended up owing them money (no idea how and it wasn't just a few pounds £33) second time I didn't have enough custom and barely made any money. Repping is a good idea if you just want a hobby but doesn't come near to paying bills. by the time you have bought the books, order slips and bags you've made nothing half the time usually in minus and you owe them. I ordered a some products which had an offer on for an oasis watch for £5 if x amount was spent on certain products, the watch never worked so I returned and rep told me to knock £5 off my next order which I did, my husband bought me a wedding ring set which turned my finger green so I asked my rep to send this back (£15) and to knock £15 off my next order rather than refunding me with cash. I was happy with this but when it came to collect my book and order form she never turned up which resulted in me not being able to buy the products I wanted or getting my money back through order or cash....I contacted Avon but no reply was ever received, not happy as I am now out of pocket. some items are good value for money but some things (i.e jewellery) is just tack and massively over priced. more quality in a plastic 20p ring from a public vending machine. will never use these again

absolutely horrible company, i had a job with this company in 2008 i was not paid for the work i did and paid 80 for products sent to me which were not part of my orders tried my hardest to get these returned gave up in the end and paid for them. they put on my credit report i had not paid them for 3 months tried to call to sort it out but couldn't do anything as my file had been deleted after 6 months also could hardly understand a word that was said to me call center was not in the Uk asked to speak to someone who can speak clearer English transferred to another guy who spoke a little better i told him i wanted to complain he told me i had to write a letter in with copy of credit file did this no reply. contacted Equifax who sorted my problem quickly.

I have used Avon products for the past 30 years or so and even though they have a rather staid image they are a very useful source of many basics and have one or two gems hidden in there too. Although I have by no means tried all of their products I do have several I keep going back for.
Advanced techniques hair products - shampoos are great and their heat protection spray is good. Their hair thickening serum really works.
Clinical eye cream (the one with the gel and the cream) is amazing for hooded eyelids - wish they sold just the gel. I can really tell when I run out of it - makes your eyes look wide awake.
Skin so soft dry oil spray - gorgeous for dry skin - and reputed to keep mozzies away if you buy the soft and fresh (green)
Most of their perfumes smell quite cheap but worth a try is Timeless - smells very heavy at first but give it half an hour and it matures beautifully. Men always comment on it.....got to be a plus!
Black Suede aftershave (the original - not the new one which is called Black Suede light or something!) is absolutely heavenly - I've even been known to dab a bit on myself just so I can smell it!
I don't like the way that Avon have tried to move into wider markets - actually I just think they haven't done it very well. Their jewellery used to be lovely but recently it all looks a bit cheap and their nightwear seems expensive and not particularly exciting.
Could go on for ages about various things I've tried but it really is all a matter of personal preference - thing is you can try it yourself with no risk. Got to be worth a go - where else could you try a £25 moisturiser for a couple of weeks, decide you didn't like it and then get your money back?
