I purchased the Makita DCS6421 64cc chainsaw to replace a previous Makita chainsaw I used (and wore out) for almost 20 years. This larger machine wouldn't start from the beginning, and it was impossible to restart regardless of circumstances. I had it in the shop for two repairs that resulted in a third repair of having the carburetor having to be replaced on a brand new chainsaw with only 5 hours of use time. This unit is manufactured for Makita by Dolmar, and when it ran it was beautiful, but getting it started and keeping it started was nothing shy than a combined act of God and Congress!!! Makita lost this long-time customer without exception!
