on visiting fort william for 1 night (1st june 2012)my girlfriend and i went to mcdonalds for a burger etc.on arrival at the hotel she noticed her purse was gone.after searching the car etc went back to mcds where the sheepish looking manageress told us nothing had been handed in (girl, early 30s, brown hair)left my name and num to be contacted if it turned up,then went and explained the situation to the police.next morning my girlfriend got a call fromm the bank saying sum1 had tried yo use her card online!tried mcds before leaving and purse was there,in a small cupboard with phones etc that had obviously been left behind but not handed into police????£200 and lloyds card were taken, why didnt the manageress contact us?why did she look sheepishly at the member of staff who advised us to contact the police? and why on earth when we went back to the police and explained the updated situaation did they say they were 50/50 they knew who it was?? this is not a dig at fort william police(far from it)are mcds employing known thieves? the police very promptly charged sum1 with theft, attempted online fraud!!! is she going to get compensatoin from mcds?????
