Terrible Meal at Harvester, Bournemouth

Upon arrival at the Harvester, we ordered an appletiser & a pint of Coke, £4.50! We were then asked to wait until our table was ready, meanwhile having to listen to undesirable locals with foul mouths and no common courtesy for anyone around them.

We were then shown to our table, the waitress was pleasant and obviously knew her job but looked more suitable to working in poundland (sorry). Being 5 months pregnant, a trip to the toilet was inevitable. Unknowing to myself at the time, I used all the available toilet roll to wipe the urine from the seat but it wasn't just that, the toilet did not appear to have been cleaned for quite some time (I would suggest a cleaning rota).

After ordering our food, we were advised that we could help ourselves to the salad cart free of charge which was a nice surprise, not when we got there as the food containers were contaminated with other food and sparse to say the least. Not very appetising to see all the mess around. When the food arrived, the fries were covered in what I can only guess was the rubbish from the bottom of the deep fat fryer, needless to say that we did not eat them.

This was our first & last visit to Harvester, very disappointed. Although the whole visit was just under £20 including drinks, it is definitely not value for money, not good food & definitely not a desirable venue and would not recommend it to anyone I know as we feel embarrassed with our experience.
