Fraudulent Flooring Company

This is an embarrassing tale of how we were taken for mugs by a company that is obviously set up just to defraud people.

We ordered and paid for a floor and arranged delivery date for a few months time when we were ready to install it. We rang and confirmed delivery 30 days before it was needed and everything was confirmed by ‘Your Floors and Doors’.
The delivery date arrived; I had taken the day off work to receive the flooring and waited for its arrival. After waiting for several hours I rang ‘Your Floors and Doors’ for an ETA. I was told that it wouldn’t be with us today as there had been a mix up but that it would now be delivered on the Friday in 3 days time.
On the Thursday of that week I called Your floors and Doors to confirm delivery was still on for the following day as again I would need to take the day off work to receive delivery. They said that they didn’t have us down for a delivery for the next day but that it was booked in for the Tuesday of the following week.
Monday came and I again rang Your Floors and Doors to confirm the delivery for the following day. They confirmed that it would be. I booked the day off work and waited. I waited and waited. At midday I called and they said that the floor was on the delivery truck and would be with me at some point. At 16.30 I called again to but couldn’t get an answer.
The following day I tried calling ‘Your Floors and Doors’ but again, No answer. I used a different mobile to call from and got through straight away. I was told that it wasn’t going to be delivered until Friday.
Friday came and they said it would now be next Tuesday. When we pushed them for answers they told us that they had lost our floor in one of their warehouses and suggested a refund or wait until Tuesday. We needed the floor and after many guarantees we agreed to wait until the Tuesday. Tuesday came and again no floor. We called ‘Your floors and doors’ and demanded an immediate refund. To our surprise they agreed straight away without hesitation. We asked for an email confirmation which never arrived. The following day, we checked our bank and no refund had hit the account. Again we called ‘Your Floors and Doors’ and were told that it would take a week to show up. The week passed and we have never had a refund. We have now involved the bank and trading standards and hopefully we can put this to bed soon.

To sum up, please never place an order with this company, and be very careful which other internet based companies you use. We have information that the person who runs Your Floors and Doors operates under a few different company names.
