Disappointing all round

Having ordered a sample of one style of Natura Oak Engineeded Wood flooring (the cheapest one) we needed to proceed with the work but went for one which was a darker colour (Natura Oak Manhattan Engineered Wood Flooring). We ordered 9 packs of this.

We arranged with a friend to have the flooring delivered to his office during working hours as the site is quite clear about the delivery hours being between 8am and 6pm. We were rather surprised when the text came through saying that the flooring would arrive at between 4:45pm and 8:30pm [after the place we had expected to delivered to was closing]. Fortunately they were able to get in touch with the delivery driver and arrange delivery just after 6pm. But this was the first concerning part of the process.

Having received 9 boxes of the flooring and leaving it for 3 days our fitter started fitting the floor. This took longer than expected and he found it to be a much more complicated job than other flooring he had laid. We then found that the some of the boards were blemished and the joins between the boards did not look good at all in a number of places.

After 4 hours laying the boards there was already about 30% wastage due to blemishes, wardped boards and also 2 boards with holes on the top where there finish was not good at all. We wrote to the supplier and asked for a refund and received an RMA code. Packaging up all the flooring and identifying the marked boards we shipped them back on a palette.

There was no message from them, no confirmation of receiving our floor or comment on our letter to them explaining the situation - until we discovered that they had given a refund for just the packs of boards which had been unopened. Nothing for the boards with blemishes and problems.

We ended up purchasing replacement flooring locally as this was a very urgent job - the fitter then virtually finished the room in just 2 hours of work. Very disappointed with flooringsupplies.co.uk
