Guildford Shop staff nice, Fitters are not.

This is the 4th time I have used carpetright over the last 14 years and it will be the last. Such a shame they really need to sort the fitting situation out but it is too late for me now. Buying the carpet in the shop was fine brought the carpet arranged for fitting all seemed well just like the times before. However when the fitters turned up they had an incredibly bad attitude, as if they were trying to make excuses just to walk off the job. Things like there isn't enough carpet, funny as when the job was done there seemed to be quite a bit left over!!! Anyhow I ended up driving round picking up extra bits that they needed, not ideal but ok. All in all they were very annoyed with carpetright openly swearing about the staff in the shop and commenting on what they thought of the company. The job they finally did is poor to say the least. Basically I think carpetright need to address this I understand that sub contractors are used, I can only suggest that they are trying to make carpetright go bust to boost their own businesses. Who knows it might work, my partner is a housing professional and has already told people not to go to carpetright which has worked out well for the other local companies. Seriously if anyone from carpetright reads this you need to address your fitting policy! On the positive side I took out an extra £70 that I had planned to give to the fitters as a tip, however as their attitude was so bad I kept it and I always like to tip that is as bad as they were!
