We had a superb holiday in the Hebrides after hiring a Motorhome. We had no problems with the hand over ... The guy in Glasgow was great, and no problems with the vehicle at all. One permanent double bed made life easy and the beauty of being able to stop and sleep anywhere was magnificent. We had a view of the sea every night and woke to the sound of waves!!! The facilties in the M/H covered just about everything and so meals and overnight were cheap. In fact overall we think that it worked out much cheaper than B&Bs with the bonus of freedom to roam!!! There were places on Skye and Lewis to empty toilets and most garages had taps to fill the water tank. The overall size of the M/H was OK on the roads .... not much bigger than a large saloon and a lovely driving position.
