I rang wandahome on the 23rd dec to ask wen the storage compound was closed over christmas.. the receptionist said closed christmas day and boxing day. I replied great we'll fetch our caravan tomorrow am (christmas eve) .. so excited to be going away in our brand new van for christmas.. 5 nites booked and a christmas dinner for 2 at a cost of £196 .. so we load the car up.. take out last christmas cards on the way .. feelin great... get to wandahome southcave.. all locked up.. “Avoid at all costs”

I cannot begin to describe how strongly I would advise avoiding this dealership. My experience has been appalling from start to finish. After buying a new caravan from them at the Caravan Show at the NEC last year I have had nothing but a catalogue of concerns about their service, honesty and integrity. I recently had to visit Wandahomes (South Cave) for some warranty repairs to my caravan. I was very impressed by the service given and the help I received from the staff. They were very accommodating regarding appointment times and were happy to deal with other minor problems not previously discussed. Fantastic after care! When my Swift awning developed a fault I contacted Swift directly and after a series of emails they told me they could not help me as there wasn't a repairer near to my home and suggested I contact the company I purchased it from. We had arranged to buy a caravan from Wandahome and they had said a price for our part exchange without seeing it. We thought our van was fine with nothing wrong so we emptied it cleaned it and took it in to sign up the deal. While they kept us in the sales room they had a look in our van and a guy came in and basically told us our van was rubbish. Having purchased a £18k swift caravan from Wandahome in 2012 customer care has been borderline, I purchased a Bailey Orion 450/5 for my daughters to share and this was a private transaction. The Bailey was due for its 3 year service and I contacted a person in service centre to book it in, after several attempts to book it in I was greeted with " did you buy it from us" in an abrupt manner, then I was asked "did you transfer the warranty? “Avondale”

Just been to look around the caravans at wandahome in south cave. They offer an Avondale Mayfly 2000. It is NOT 2000. We have a 1998 Mayfly and the one on offer is as old if not older. The photos on the web bear no resemblance to the van on offer, they are from a 2000 van not the one for sale. We looked at a Mayfly at wandahome some time ago and it was like a sponge. The salesman agreed that it was very damp and that he wouldn't buy it. This was 4 years ago. This is why we went somewhere else… Read Full Review

“Alco ATC broken”

The Alco ATC, a unit which needs no maintenance and appears not to have any guarantee,broke and in the process ruined the brakes on the caravan. The unit was replaced swiftly, and the brakes mended. We bought our 2007 Luner Ultima back in March and received excellent service from the staff at Wandahome. Nothing was too much trouble. We did not feel pressurised by the salesman and were left alone to make our minds up with a lovely hot coffee on a very cold day. They fitted us a motor mover which is brilliant and gave us temporary storage until ours was available nearer home.
