“I'm going to write this review in two parts. Firstly...”

I'm going to write this review in two parts. Firstly I'd like to say that one or two of the complaints I feel are unjustified. These complaints are regarding the cancelling of orders after the customer has committed to buy. This is not ebay and buying a caravan is a commitment so be sure youve made the right choice before you commit.
For the second part I'm going to tell you of my experience with Glossop Caravans. Last year, I unwisely bought a caravan off ebay, it was advertised as 'Damp Free' excellent condition etc. It was a private sale from a caravan site in Brecon, South Wales and I paid cash. About a month after getting it home I took it for a service before taking it on holiday and I was told that it had areas of damp. This year we decided to change it, didnt want the kids sleeping in a damp caravan. I was up front with Glossop Caravans about the damp and they agreed to take it in part ex. They also had the exact caravan we were looking for, Swift Charisma 570 in stock and at the very best price we could find (£500 below its nearest rival). And to top all of this they offered us a part ex deal far over and above what I expected
Sales...Our salesman Mark was great, he was informative, helpful and told us what we needed to know and once we had committed Lee took us through the finance and that was Job done for a week or so.
On collection day I arrived at 2pm as arranged and Claire in the office called me by my name even before we were introduced. Claire was friendly and customer focussed but in an English way, not and American way. She explained to me what the process was going to be before I could drive my new Swift away. She was dealing with at least 3 other people at the same time and was surprised at how quickly she was able to deal with us all.
Finally I was shown my Caravan which was beautifully presented. I'm sorry that I can't remember the lads name who explained all the important operational bits of the caravan to me so lets just call him 'Peter Kay'. Informative and funny with it.
Don't know wether I should say this but I also got a free registration plate and a 7 pin to 13 pin converter.
All in all I had a very pleasurable experience with Glossop Caravans, they are 45 miles away from where I live but I will not hesitate in going back to them again for another caravan when the time comes. I purchased a quality product at a great price and had fantastic service.
