Booked an appointment to see a salesman in The Trade Centre Wales. We were told on the phone prior to the appointment that as long as we arrived before 8pm we could collect a car of our choice. We arrived at The Trade Centre Wales at approx. 5.45 PM. We asked for the salesman we had booked an appointment with and we were told that it was his day off. We explained that we had an appointment and it took them around 15 minutes to find our appointment and when they did they couldn't even get the name right. We were then introduced to a salesman named Olly, who from the start had a face like a kid who just had a row. All he did was basically tell us that the cars were in no order at all and to look around and he would catch up with us later on. No later than 10 minutes he was onto us about picking a car. He wasn't interested in actually showing us any cars, he just kept coming back and forth asking us if we found anything. Eventually we found a car that we liked (All by ourselves may I add). We discussed prices and he was even kind enough to drop £200 from the screen price and offer what we wanted for our P/X. We then proceeded to the 'office' (which was a table in the corner of the showroom). Prices were agreed and we said we would like to proceed with this car. He told us that all the finance was in place and ready to go but collections had finished at 6pm and there was no way we could take the car that night. We explained that they told us we could take the car over the phone and that we had travelled around 40 miles to get there and he said ''it's not happening tonight''. If it were down to me I would have told him to shove it there and then but I could see the disappointment in my girlfriends face so I agreed to go home and he assured us that the car would be ready to collect the next day. He said that The Trade Centre Wales would call me tomorrow and arrange a time for collection. I stayed in all day and not one phone call. I left it until 4.45pm until I called them. They lied to me and told me that they had been calling all day and they would have left a voicemail but there wasn't the facility. Both my mobile and landline have voicemails and not one missed call was on either phone. I was promised a call back from someone in the finance department within the next 5 minutes. 40 Minutes passed before I had to call and ask what was happening....I was promised a call back (again) within 5 minutes. Half hour passed before I called again and guess what....they wanted another 5 minutes. 5 minutes later the phone actually rang and it was the same person from the finance department. They said 'finance is all good and it has been accepted for the term you wanted but the only problem is collections have left early'' and that's not all, they then proceeded to tell me that the finance company would only finance us for £1000 less than the agreed amount, so The Trade Centre Wales would knock £300 off the car to compensate, they said that our payments would go up by £29 per month. over four years that's an amazing £1392. He figures were way out so I don't know who employed this person as a finance manager. I then explained that what she was saying is a complete load of tosh and to cancel everything, To which they replied 'No problem we don't want business from people like yourself anyway''. I was gobsmacked. I hung up the phone and started to write this review. I plan on sitting outside The Trade Centre Wales for a few days warning off all their customers and handing out fliers on reasons to avoid them. Tell em Trevor sent ewe (To be ripped off).
