Do not buy from this company

I bought my wife an early Christmas present paying nearly £8,000 for a Mini Clubman from the Car People Wakefield.
I collected my car on 15th December, the chrome sill strip on the nearside of the car was hanging off, I had to wait an hour whilst they took it back into the workshop to glue it down, I thought that was bad little did I know it was about to get much worse.
The next day I set off in the car and turned on the heated rear screens on the double doors only to find the screens only half cleared on each door, I contacted the company and they stated that it was not covered by the 90 day warranty.The warranty covers mechanical and electrical not glass,The heating elements are electrical.
They agreed to look at the car but on 22nd December when I went to collect it they stated that both screens were broken and it was not there responsibility to fix them, they had clearly sold the car not fit for purpose, I was then told at least half the screens cleared and it was not a requirement for the MOT.
At this I told them they had sold the car not fit for purpose and asked them to fix it,they refused
I asked for my money back they refused.
I asked for my trade in car back they refused, Consumer rights didn't exist and I have now been forced to commence the legal process to deal with this company who boast that each car is checked by 8 specialists before being sold
Unless your prepared for upset,stress and disappointment do not buy from this company
