I bought a BMW 3 Series off Stockport Car Supermarket about 12 months ago. For the first couple of months all was fine. After this period the vehicle started to encounter all sorts of problems. When stationary in traffic for a while the car would overheat throwing plumes of smoke. Turns out they had sold me a car without a working cooling fan. Like I say the problem only started happening a few months after purchase when the weather became hotter so it was only then that I realised the problem. Now the car just blows out clouds of smoke when setting off. After looking into this I was shown a way that I could check the MOT history of the vehicle online. When I bought this vehicle I was give a completely clean12 month MOT certificate with no advisories at all. Upon searching the MOT history of the vehicle the MOT carried out 12 months prior to purchase had flagged many advisories stating that the vehicle was producing excessive blue smoke under acceleration and an oil leak on the engine. 2 weeks ago I had the car put in to renew its MOT and the tester advised me that the car was blowing blue smoke under acceleration amd there was an oil leal on the engine. So tell me this, How does the MOT prior to purchase state these problems and the MOT just carried out yet the one I was given with the car was all clean. Seriously stay away from Stockport Car Supermarket you will be disappointed!!! Im now going to be taking this to the small claims court !!
