we were really looking forward to picking up a white kia sportage, arrived really excited at Motorpoint Birmingham only to notice upon close inspection that the bonnet was covered in hundreds of tiny oxidized specks. Pointed this out to a member of staff who inspected it and conceded it wasnt right and said he was going to inform the manager. The manager came marching in and with no introduction blurted out "dont you know what that is? Its called factory fallout and its not just on the bonnet its on every panel. You will find the same on nearly every white car you buy" My wife replied that our car outside which we intended to px was white and that wasnt affected? At this point i just said that we couldnt accept the car and the imediate response from the manager was "fine" and he walked off. We were left standing in the middle of the building with no apology, no further information or explaination, we were basically just abandoned. There is zero embellishmnet on this review, this is the treatment we received and Motorpoint in my opinion deliberately tried to sell us a substandard car. Not only did the car go through its pre delivery checks but we had been sold the Williams high tech paint treatment. It is impossible that the condition of the paintwork could have been missed.

i have since been contacted by Motorpoint head office who have apologised profusely on behalf of their Birmingham branch. It doesnt help me but hopefully it will improve that particular branches service in the future. The apology felt well intentioned and on my part is accepted.
