“Large choice of vehicles and fast service”

As a new driver I wanted a reliable car to drive around town. My sister recommended I try out Car Giant as that's where she got her car a few years back. Finding the place was relatively easy with a big sign that's hard to miss. Would be a bit tricky for people walking there from the train station, I recommend grabbing the bus.

Upon entering the place you see rows and rows of cars to pick from. There are a lot of popular makes like the Ford Focus however I couldn't say the same for other makes like Kia and Skoda though. The one thing that was really nice was that the staff don't approach you to pester you or force you into buying a car. Infact if you want attention from them you have to go and find them inside. If you like a car you see and just want to sit inside and see around the car, you go in and ask for the keys after signing some documents which took a minute or so. You get to spend as much time as you like in the car, open the boot etc. If you decide you like it you go back and you get a free test drive, they insist you do. After that, you can buy the car or ask questions etc. You can chose to drive off the same day or pick up another day of your choosing.

Whilst the staff won't play hardball to sell the car to you they will mention the insurance, cover and optional extra's an awful lot. Again they're optional so don't feel pressured into getting them. I went for the basic package since I was a newbie on the road.

Pros:
- Lots of variety of car makes and models available
- Friendly staff that don't pester or pressure you
- Service to pay and pick up was relatively quick considering I went on a busy day to pick it up

Advice:
- All the cars there are quite young with low mileage on them which makes them expensive if you're looking for your first car. Be sure to have a decent budget on you, I'm honestly saying come with at least 5-6K+ on you. I manage to find a gem of a car which ticked all my boxes. Most if not all of the cars are around the 7-8K mark. I believe you can part exchange too so that's another option.
- Bring your licence if you plan to test drive any car on the day.
- Come early as you'll probably spend all day there, it's that big of a place
- Look online, the cars they have there will most likely be at the place when you go visit. Make a list of cars you want to see.
