“Please judge for yourself!”

Written on: 02/02/2016 by peugeoterror (1 review written)

Peugeot 1.4 Petrol 2007. Car kept throwing up the same fault codes so ECU sent to The ECU Doctor and they tested it, finding no faults. Just to make sure I fitted their loan ECU which eliminated the original codes but other fault codes were generated in place (oil pressure and RPM faults) The test ECU was returned and I refitted the original ECU only to find all the original fault codes reappeared however, the oil pressure and RPM faults from the test ECU were not present. On their advise I… Read Full Review

“MG ZTT 2.0 CDTi (Auto) - REVIVED!!!! YEE HAH!!”

Written on: 28/01/2016 by Harewood53JD (1 review written)

What can i say but a tremendous salute to the ECU Doctor. These folks are not just ECU doctors, they are truly sensational highly talented and absolutely good people. They know their job inside out for real. My MG-ZTT (I refuse to call it a Rover 75) was down and out, in my garage for over 6 months, while local mechanic tried and failed to properly diagnose the problem. Whilst browsing on the owners forums. BIG THANKS TOO. I located the symptoms and was immediately recommended to get the unit… Read Full Review

“immobiliser cure to skoda felicia 1.3. ecu.”

Written on: 05/12/2015

Having had immobiliser probs for 2 yrs causing occasional and seemingly random starting issues, necessiting several breakdown recoveries, one considered scrapping, though the machine was in all others ways reliable, relatively cheap to maintain and run. It had also recently passed the MOT with no serious issues. I therefore decided toresearch a fix, because every diagnostic done came back to blocked immobiliser electronics in ecu. Having tried several possible alternative organisations, who… Read Full Review

“Careful with these ”

Written on: 05/12/2015 by RussellSpence424 (1 review written)

Fixing an ECU is not always going to work. I paid these 300 pounds for my ECU top be repaired...which worked for 2 months... then same issue. I have put an ecu kit in from the scrappy and wahey car works fine. I sent the ECU back to them and they confirmed there was no fault......maybe their testing system itself cannot identify all faults..especially when intermittent? WHICH MOST ECU ISSUES ARE!… Read Full Review

The ECU Doctor sorted out my Rover 75 water damaged ECU within 48 hours at a fraction of the cost of a new replacement. The additional benefit was that the repaired ECU did not require re-coding, so more money saved. Very happy customer! … Read Full Review

“Brilliant service!”

Written on: 21/08/2015 by Huntmaster650 (1 review written)

Posted my Rover 75 ECU late on a Friday for testing. ECU Doctor rang me on Tuesday to advise that ignition circuit blown. Also suggested a possible cause or causes. Repaired unit delivered back to me the following morning. Car started but misfired on one cylinder. Took ECU Doctor's advice and traced it to a faulty coil/spark plug cap. Car now running perfectly again. Simply excellent service with costs exactly as expected. Highly recommended… Read Full Review

Posted my MGZTT/Rover 75 2.0 CDTI unit for testing, analysis and diagnosed as water ingress damage and badly corroded. Rebuild etc carried out 72 hrs later unit was back with me at a cost of £244. My mechanic fitted unit on car and hey presto, starts first time, sailed through MOT with flying colours. Just noticed when about to drive off 3 dashboard display lights permanently on? Handbrake?, Airbag fault light and other yellow/amber light. Could this be something else sinister or connected? Anyone? I'll be ringing the Doctors in the morning fairly sure they'll have remedy

I located the symptoms and was immediately recommended to get the unit shipped off to plymouth, which i did with full details to assist in problem solving. Within 4-5 days my unit was fixed, sorted and returned. BOOM BOOM! Fitted, car started first time and other glow plug relay issue was quietly fixed by replacing the water damaged part. Altogether a fantastic job well worth the £244 (inc of vat). No hesitation in recommending these people to others. SAY AGAIN! A BIG BIG THANK YOU FROM THE NORTH-EAST

3 dashboard lights problem all sorted now. Previous mechanic caused faults by forgetting to replace ABS plug? Also earth connection was left exposed? Hmmm Could have been major issue if not for the ECU Doctor folks recommending a local garage they knew would find and fix the issues. A BIG THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN! YOU'RE LIFE SAVERS AND TOP CLASS FOLK

My lovely Hyundai Accent, with 180,000 miles on the clock suddenly started misfiring on 1 and 4. I extracted the ECU and took it to a local guy who saw it was a Siemens unit and wasn't able to help but he recommended the ECU Doctor. Sent it off to them, great communication and quickly returned after a diagnosis and repair at reasonable cost. Plopped it in and brmmm brmmm!! “Be careful”

Written on: 22/07/2015 by cassie4123 (1 review written)

I can't fault the company in one way as they have tried very hard to fix the computer on my husband's car, but be very careful. Think carefully before you send your computer off for repair, we have paid £200 and £20 plus postage and the car still will not work. They recalled the product when it didn't work the first time and now we are awaiting their response for the second failure. I wish we had put the money into a different car, scrapped the current one and cut our losses. Is it the… Read Full Review

Hi there, You don't say what make/model your faulty car is/was. I'm sure whatever the issue was there are a lot of companies that won't even give this kind of service the time of day, instead looking to make serious dents in your purse/wallets through replacement units, coupled with generous reprogramming labour and part costs etc. Guess you aren't too impressed but then again not everyone will be

“accurate advice on non ECU fault”

Written on: 10/06/2015 by 442Ramirez (1 review written)

I was having low power problems with my Mercedes C36 and had investigated a number of areas and was about to get ECU shipped to and tested by ECU doctor. ECU doctor advised me it was probably fuel delivery problem after I described the symptoms. This turned out to be entirely accurate, as although most of the fuel system was replaced one fine mesh filter was original, so instead of a simple no we won't test your ECU they directed me to what they thought was the problem - all through one email… Read Full Review

“ECU Doctor puts life back into Vauxhall Zafira.”

Written on: 10/05/2015 by TomDixon441 (1 review written)

My daughter's 2007 Vauxhall Zafira 1.9 diesel had been refusing to start, intermittently to begin with, but eventually refused to start or do anything at all. The trouble was eventually tracked down to corroded pins on the large multi-connector on the engine ECU and on the end of the wiring loom connecting to it. Having done some research on the Internet I came across a lot of positive reviews of the ECU Doctor so I decided to contact them via email and explain my dilemma, I received a… Read Full Review

“Back on the road again thanks”

Written on: 05/05/2015 by davidm504 (1 review written)

After several months in my local garage finding the problem on my imported Grand Hiace Wagon looked destined for the scrap yard. The initila problem was engine cutting out after warming up but this gradually worsened until the 1KZ-TE engine just wouldn't start at all. After a lot of forum searching the ECU was the only thing we hadn't tried but the garage's usual contacts couldn't help as this is an imported model. A quick call to ECU Doctor after a search on the internet and they would have a… Read Full Review

“The ECU Doctor did it for me”

Written on: 02/05/2015 by isWillis490 (1 review written)

This company really got me back on the road after repairing my faulty ecu, after owing my Toyota Surf for the last 13 years without being let down it decided to not start for me. I had heard of the ECU Doctor through one of the Toyota Surf forums so after checking out the most obvious areas that could have gone wrong I gave them a call. And asked the friendly staff if it was possible to have my ECU checked out for faults, bearing in mind that the Toyota is 22 years old, but I was very relieved… Read Full Review

“Mis informed about work done to my Zafira ECU”

Written on: 19/04/2015 by john2120 (1 review written)

I had my ECU repaired just over 12 months ago I was told the main processor had gone and the repair would cost £200. I agreed to have the work done which was carried out and returned quickly, being a curious person I removed the cover and saw the repair, a tiny wire had come off the circuit board. the repair consisted of a small bridge between 2 contacts at the side with a blob of solder, due to the gel covering it is clear to see that nothing else was done.Yes it was repaired and has worked… Read Full Review

“ECU FAULT CODES NOT REPORTING - SORTED - THANKS”

Written on: 22/02/2015 by tystie (1 review written)

Had a broken ECU where incompetent DPF software removal had deleted ability to see fault codes. Engine systems fault light came on - went into limp mode - no fault readable by me or professional garage/tuner nor could they sort the software except at huge Ford costs. ECU doctor found the fault, reflashed an updated Ford software and sent me back the original unit. It was plug and play and the immobiliser system and keys all worked perfectly. Fault code was read - just needed glow plugs!! The… Read Full Review
