Second year service

I booked my two year old car in for a sevice with servicing stop.They quoted a resonable price and picked the car up from my house. Within an hour I got a phone call to say that a specialist oil was required in my car at an extra £25.00 and the brake fluid required changind at an extra £60.00.They had the make and model of the car at the point of booking. They mut have known what oil was required. The car only had 8000 mile on the clock.I had no option but to pay for the "specialist" oil but told them I thought I was being ripped off with the suggestion that the brake fluid would require changing after such a low milage.
The car was returned to me . I checked it over and found that the air filter had not been changed. I contacted Servicing stop to complain .Their reply was that the air filter would only be changed if reqired. I pointed out that the air filter was very dirty and should have been changed but only got fobbed off.

With all the "extras" and the fact that I had to fit a new air filter myself it would have been less expensive to go to my local dealer. I asked my dealer about the brake fluid change ,they said at such a low milage this should not be required.

Servicing stop looks cheap but beware of all the extras they try to add on to the bill.
