I would just like to endorse what others have said here previously about the Shoreham on Sea branch of Mr Clutch. My recent experience with them has been entirely satisfactory. The Ulysse suffered gearbox failure without warning and as I learnt from phoning around, a gearbox change on this model is not straightforward. On ringing Mr Clutch at Shoreham I was asked the problem and then received a call back with the all the costs explained (which were competitive) plus the offer to take the car in the following day. It was made clear to me that my own gearbox would have to be sent away for recon and it would take about a week. I was therefore very pleasantly surprised to receive a call after only 4 days (on a Saturday morning) to say the car was ready for collection.

On arriving the car was clean inside and the bill was exactly what I had been quoted - with no extras charged, the existing clutch was found to be serviceable "as new" . The gearbox comes with a 12 month warranty and a check over after 500 miles. On picking up the car I had a 250 mile round trip to do - over which the clutch and gearbox performed perfectly.
