KWIK FIT - Avoid

Don't ever bother with Kwik Fit, what seems like convenience at first soon turns into frustration and wasted time.

Trouble is the day to day running of the place seems to be left to school leavers/teens with not much experience mechanically or in customer service.

One without the other you may get somewhere, unfortunately when both are lacking you're only ever going to end up with a headache at best.

Took my car in for MOT on a saturday, it failed due to suspensiom bushes needed to be replaced. No problem they said, just bring in and we can replace for about £80 Fitted. So arranged for a day off work to take car in. Left car with them at 8.30am. Get a call at 11.30. Unfortunately cannot get part, we've spoken to our supplier and may take 2 weeks for delivery. Leave it with us and we'll chase.
I Called Kwik Fit back at 1pm. No still not heard back from them. We'll carry on chasing. It may be worth you ordering part off ebay yourself
yourself. So I did this, garage advised I could just take my car in the following saturday. Wouldn't be a problem I was told (I asked twice to confirm ok) Part arrived, took car in following saturday.
We can fit part but cannot re-mot your car as we're now fully book from internet bookings.
To which I replied, why then didn't you book me in When I asked previous Tuesday? No real answer, they would re-MOT if they get a cancellation. Great.
Get the call 4 hours later. The bushes I had provided were the wrong ones. Which I need to verify.
Great.
So I am going to take car to a garage who can provide parts and actually have some form of customer service.

It wouldn't be as bad if they seemed to care. But they didn't. Honestly staff at Halfords are 10x more helpful.

I wouldn't take my car to Kwik Fit if I broke down outside the place.
