Tyre fitting experience

Visited Halfords Aberdeen (Torry) 02/11/16 to have four Pirelli Zottozero winters fitted to my BMW 4 Series F33 435d XDrive, the staff was friendly and a cup of coffee can't say anything bad about that, as a by the way my order was placed via ASDA tyres website, they were cheapest by far found £719 BMW was double the price for same tyres and fitted!!

Anyways...

So car was completed and paid and then I left the fitting centre, car felt ok after fitting however pressures was not set as per guidelines on side sticker which is visable on the inside driver side door therefore had to adjusted myself fair enough but tbh how difficult is this to be done during the fitting service..?

Next problem, driving at 70 MPH felt very weird, the front felt floaty and car didn't feel safe, presumed the balancing wasn't performed properly, and maybe alignment was out.

I have today 26/11/16 finally managed to get some free time and took my car to another local tyre fitter in Altens, asked for alignment, front toe was out by very little adjustment 1mm i was told, however the balancing!! Was well outwith the spec for all four wheels.

So will be going back to Halfords for a refund on the balancing, maybe some extra training or calibration of there machines should be sought, fundamentally it's the inconvenience of having to have something redone when it should have be performed corrrctly in the first place.

Again staff was friendly and nice, pricing for tyres was brilliant, technical skills and attention to detail should be better.
