I battled my way through floods and hurricane force winds to get to my motor-home to its MOT appointment at Halfords Autocentre Taunton on time. I pre-booked and pre-paid online and gave Halfords my vehicle details. But when I turned up the manager told me they could not accept long wheel base vehicles. I completely wasted my time this morning. I lost money I could have been earning at work. Halfords own vehicle finder had identified my van as a LWB motor-home. Surely Halfords know how big their premises are? Would it be too much to ask that vehicles which won't fit cannot be booked in? This would avoid really annoying anyone in my situation. Having had poor service in most of my dealings with Halfords over the years I guess this last point is lost on most of their management?
