I booked an MOT for 8:30 slot on line as it is 50% off from normal price. I phoned Halford Hayes/Southall garage to check the waiting time and was told it would be around 1 hr. Took the car before 8:30 and was told to come back in an 1 hr. However had to wait another 90 minutes before the MOT was done. There was no apology for the waiting and the receptionist guy (Steve)was quite rude not just to me but his coworker. I was told that I failed my MOT on the brake and had to get it done with them for £250 so that I don't have to pay the re test fee. I took the car back to the garage where i had it serviced the week before and passed the MOTwithout having to change the brake. Didn't mind paying the £45. Halford is just trying to rip people off witht their half price MOT. Avoid at all cost.
