I called simply to check if my cover had run out yet as I was being offered breakdown cover with my car insurance. In November I called for assistance to be told they wouldn't come to me, so I purposefully didn't renew.
I have now been told by an extremely rude lady called Mary that I called and renewed, hence the debit of money from my bank account. She refused to give me my membership number and refused to put me through to someone who could help.
I called customer services who told me I definitely hadn't renewed, but they would not cancel my cover or reimburse the money taken from my account.
The AA are theiving, underhanded, disgustingly rude people and I would advise anyone thinking of using them to steer well clear.
