I have just spent 10 months chasing my money back from ecar insurance. In the end I had to involve the financial ombudsman to resolve the complaint as ecar would not honour emails. It took 2 reminders from the financial ombudsman to make ecar reply to me complaint. A process(financial ombudsman involvement) that took 5 months altogether. Just received a call yesterday from ecar apologizing for the dismal service and offering to return the money. Overall, I would say not worth the hassle taking out insurance with this company.
